Our Keto Love Snacks are shelf stable for up to 4 months. While many of our customers enjoy eating the Cups cold, it is not necessary to refrigerate or freeze them. So go ahead and chill your snacks -- we're totally cool with it!

These delicious Keto Cups have a tendency to melt when warm - after all they are the perfect combination of chocolate and ooey gooey goodness. If you plan to travel long distances, you might want to freeze them before taking off.
Ps. I'm writing this on a flight with a large stash of Keto Love Snacks in my carry on - unfrozen. So obviously I don't take my own advice ; )

Erythritol has a rather scientific-sounding name, but it's actually just another sweetener found in fruits like pears, grapes and watermelons. It's an organic compound and is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol, which can be derived from corn for commercial production.

Our erythritol is sourced from a supplier that has strict Non-GMO policies in place for both its production processes and its raw material suppliers.

The Deep Dive... Erythritol is often used as an alternative to sugar. It contains virtually no calories and has a zero glycemic index. It does not affect blood sugar or insulin levels, making it a suitable sugar substitute for diabetics. Unlike other sugar alcohols which are widely known to cause digestive problems, erythritol is generally well tolerated by most people. The key difference between erythritol and all other sugar alcohols is its small molecular size which allows it to be absorbed quickly in the upper digestive tract. Other sugar alcohols are not absorbed by the upper GI tract and reach the lower tract where degradation can cause gastric distress. Although absorbed by the body in the upper GI tract, erythritol is not metabolized like other nutrients, which is why it contributes to minimal calories and has no impact on blood sugar.

Monk Fruit is a small round fruit in the gourd family, also known as Luo Han Guo -- named after the Luo Han monks who discovered it.

We source Monk Fruit that has been grown and processed in a sustainable way, including having a zero-emissions processing plant.

Stevia is a natural sweetener and sugar substitute derived from the leaves of the plant species Stevia rebaudiana, which is native to Brazil and Paraguay.

The active compounds are steviol glycosides, which have about 200-300 times the sweetness of sugar, are heat-stable, pH-stable, and not fermentable. For this reason we use more erythritol in our chocolate than Stevia because erythritol is only 60% as sweet as sugar, while Stevia is 200-300 times as sweet as sugar.

Therefore, Stevia is what contributes to our chocolates’ sweetness, while erythritol contributes to rounding out the delicious flavor profile and mouth-feel.
